I've made exceptions to the app in the firewall as well as some jave exe files, but I still get the message. The private IP address doesnt really make a difference as you dont need to connect the PS3 directly to your computer as long as you have a decent router. I recently upgraded my router to and now I connect at gigabit speeds to my PS3. Im really impressed.this is what the Media Manager DVR. Watched the, uhh, trailer for District 9 on the PS3 on my tv and it looked pretty decent. Installed PS3 Media Server on my desktop and streaming video/audio to the PS3 with no problems. My only two concerns with it are:Įach time I do turn on the media server on my PC and enable it on my PS3, I get a message pop-up from Symantec saying Denial of Service attack logged. I have gigbit ethernet on my pc and the ps3 supports gigabit networking. Just picked up a slim the other day and lovin it.
